Open Cell Polyurethane Foams

Flexible open cell polyurethane foams, including polyester foams and polyether foams, are some of the most versatile foams.

Easily cut or molded to almost any shape and able to be made with almost an infinite variety of properties – for instance from very supple to very firm cushioning - even though two polyurethane foams may look alike, they can feel and perform entirely differently.

Flexible polyurethane foams are the foam of choice for many packaging, cushioning, seating, bedding, furniture and upholstery, seals and gasketing applications and many more.

All of our flexible open cell polyurethane foam products are produced from flourocarbon footprint free (CFC-free] processes and are readily recyclable and biodegradable into environmentally friendly amino acids and other helpful compounds. They are produced under conditions with virtually no air or water discharge and minimal energy consumption.

Polyester Foam & Polyether Foam
Both are types of polyurethane foam. In applications where the polyurethane foam may come into contact with gases, such as oxygen, nitrogen or carbon dioxide, a polyester-based polyurethane foam is typically used. Whereas foam applications in contact with a liquid-based solution would typically employ a polyether-based polyurethane foam.
